A Question Of...
Playable - To play, simply divide the class into two to five teams, assign each team a track on the
game chart, present the first case study, and then have each team select one of the assigned
choices. The variable scoring — advancing 3 spaces for a "best" response, advancing 1 space for a
"second best" response, and no spaces for the "least best" response — creates a lively, yet
focused, discussion of the topic. By presenting a new case study in each round of play, you can
offer many different perspectives of a problem, situation or issue with the complete attention of
your participants.
Adaptable - This wall game can be adapted to almost any topic and with audiences at almost any
level, from technical to supervisory, where analytical thinking is required. Topics
already adapted include: customer relations, diversity, EMT, ethics, diversity, personnel management,
product development, sales management, stress management, and safety awareness.
Preparation - The game chart — full color, 3-foot by 4-foot, laminated on both sides — must be
mounted or hung on the wall. The wall chart must be mounted or hung and the team icons placed in
the "start" area. The overhead game sheet requires a projector and the team icons (small coins or
round objects) placed in the "start" area. The instructor should develop five to ten case studies, each with three distinguishable choices.
Each case study may require 10 to 30 minutes of class time.
